American Traveler is hiring a night-shift ICU RN with NY licensure, 2+ years of ICU experience, and travel experience required for a 13-week assignment.

• Work in the ICU of a community hospital setting
• Covers Medical, Surgical, and Burn ICU populations including thermoregulation cases (hypothermia/hyperthermia)
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and administering continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions

• Provide critical care nursing across medical, surgical, and burn ICU patients
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
