American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and prior ICU charge experience.

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Works in the Intensive Care Unit, including Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Burn patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and managing continuous IV sedation or paralytics
• Competent in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and obtaining 12-lead EKGs
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and thermoregulation management

• Provide critical care nursing to medical, surgical, and burn ICU patients
• Administer emergency medications and procedural sedation as needed
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precaution standards
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Previous employees must have a 6-month system-wide break in service to be eligible
• First-time travelers may be considered
