Patient Care Director​/Nurse Manager – RN – Psychiatry – Psychotic Disorder & Second​/N Units

The Patient Care Director / Nurse Manager will provide clinical operations oversight for the medical and psychiatric inpatient unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. This role is ideal for experienced nursing leaders passionate about fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

• Serve as a transformational leader through shared governance.
• Mentor, supervise, and evaluate staff to support their growth.
• Oversee daily operations, including staffing and scheduling.
• Develop and manage budgets for financial accountability.
• Continuously assess unit operations and implement process improvements.
• Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives.
• Implement the unit's strategic plan relevant to NYPH initiatives.
• Act as a change agent, leading initiatives that improve quality and performance.

Education:

• Master’s degree in nursing or related field required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

Experience:

• At least 3 years of RN experience in Psychiatric Nursing

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current New York State RN license required
• American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification preferred
