Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In‑Home Euthanasia & Aftercare—your pay will be based on your skills and experience.

We are seeking an in‑home veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice care and euthanasia services in Greater Suffolk County, NY. This position offers an opportunity to reconnect with pet families, enjoy generous appointment times, and work with minimal administrative duties.

• Average 3‑4 in‑home appointments per day
• Freedom of a mobile practice
• Comprehensive training & mentorship

• Provide in‑home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets
• Guide families in end‑of‑life decision‑making
• Build relationships with local veterinary clinics as care extension

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary practice experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs assisted, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently
• Comfortable with prolonged driving periods
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine‑motor skills, and steady hands with medical tools
