Avon Animal Hospital and Surgical Center is seeking a full time or part time veterinarian to join our team in the primary care department.
About the RoleThe Associate Veterinarian will provide medical care for dogs and cats, including wellness and sick visits, as well as routine surgical and dental procedures. The ideal candidate is comfortable with preventive medicine, diagnostics, and routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, dentals, and small mass removals.
Responsibilities- Performing physical exams, diagnosing, and treating small animal patients
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients about treatment options and care plans
- Performing routine surgeries and dental procedures with confidence
- Collaborating with our experienced support staff to ensure excellent patient care
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records
- Supportive team environment with experienced (and awesome!) technicians and assistants

- Mentorship in surgery if desired
- High quality medicine and equipment
- Easy access to management and owners- no corporate red tape!
- DVM or equivalent degree, with an active license (or eligibility) to practice in New York
- Two years of experience in practice preferred
- Strong interest in dental procedures is desirable

- A passion for providing high-quality, personalized veterinary care
- Positive attitude and desire for a fun practice culture
