Leading New York City Animal Hospital has several openings for Licensed Veterinary Technicians on the following units:
- Surgery
- Primary Care
- Medical/Surgical Unit
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Avian & Exotic Pet Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Integrative & Rehabilitative Medicine
- Emergency & Critical Care
- Cardiology
- Interpret and execute treatment plans
- Operate and/or monitor Heska and syringe pumps, Cardell blood pressure monitors, Doppler monitors and blood gas machines
- Place jelco and sampling catheters and collect blood samples
- Update patient records and monitor patient activity
- Maintain stock and order supplies
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of the unit
- Participate in the training of new employees and volunteers
- New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician’s or permit
- One year animal handling experience and ability to lift and restrain animals weighing up to 50 pounds
- $62,000 - $83,000
