About the Role:
As the Technician Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll be instrumental in developing the knowledge and skills of our medical support staff—from new technicians to seasoned professionals looking to elevate their expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on training to new and experienced technicians, supporting skill development from foundational to advanced levels, including emergency and critical care.
- Mentor and coach staff on clinical procedures, equipment use, and troubleshooting, while ensuring adherence to UVS protocols.
- Develop and implement training materials, SOPs, and educational content for internal use and platforms like Vet Bloom.
- Collaborate with managers, leads, and cross-departmental teams to evaluate technician progress and align training with hospital-wide initiatives.
- Foster a supportive learning environment by adapting to various learning styles, offering feedback, and staying approachable to all team members.
What You Bring:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (required); specialty certification is a plus.
- Strong clinical knowledge, teaching and mentoring skills, and a positive, professional demeanor.
- Preferred certifications: RECOVER Rescuer and Fear Free.
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to lead with empathy and clarity.
Schedule:
- Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm
