Part-Time Veterinarian – Saturdays Only

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our 3-doctor team for a dedicated Saturday-only role
. This position is ideal for a doctor with strong ER or urgent care experience who enjoys a fast pace and wants a consistent weekly schedule without weekday commitments. Candidates with Small Animal or Emergency internship training and 2+ years of post‑internship experience are strongly preferred.

Each Saturday, you will work in a supportive environment where you can expect to see 16 to 18 patients through 30‑minute appointments, along with 4 to 6 drop‑offs and walk‑ins. We treat dogs and cats and provide daytime urgent care. We do not offer overnights or after‑hours care at this location.

Surgery is not required. We welcome doctors who prefer appointments and urgent care only. This is a client facing role that calls for clear communication, sound judgment, and a calm presence. Many clients have been with us for years, and our skilled support staff handles all technical tasks so you can stay focused on patient care.

The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, decisive, has strong communication skills, and can thrive in a busy setting. Emergency and/or urgent care experience is a requirement. Collaboration with our close‑knit team across our three locations is key. You must be passionate about high‑quality veterinary care and delivering excellent customer service.

What to Expect

• Salary: The base salary for this part‑time position (approximately 8 hours per week) is between $40,000 and $45,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, there is a pro‑sale incentive of 20%. There will be no negative accrual during the first 12 months, providing a stable foundation as you establish yourself. High performers can significantly exceed the base salary.
