At D is for Doggy, we believe grooming is more than a haircut — it’s care, comfort, and confidence for every pup who walks through our doors. Our downtown salon is designed for dogs who deserve professional styling in a calm, clean, and loving environment.

We’re looking for experienced, independent Dog Groomers who take pride in their craft, work with precision and care, and love making dogs look and feel their best.

• Deliver Expert Grooming: Perform full-service grooms including baths, haircuts, de-shedding, nail trims, ear cleaning, and brush-outs.

• Personalize Every Session: Work with clients to understand preferences, coat type, and comfort level — tailoring each groom to the individual dog.

• Spot Health Concerns: Identify skin issues, parasites, or unusual changes during sessions and communicate them to management or owners.

• Keep the Space Professional: Maintain a tidy, sanitary workstation and uphold our safety standards at all times.

• Delight the Customer: Create a friendly, trustworthy experience that keeps owners coming back.

• Strong grooming experience — either salon-based or mobile — with a proven ability to handle dogs of all breeds and sizes.

• Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and modern grooming styles.

• Patience, compassion, and confidence when working with anxious or high-energy pups.

• Excellent communication and professionalism with clients and team members.

• Reliability and pride in the quality of your work.

This is an active, hands-on position. You’ll be bathing, brushing, drying, trimming, and lifting dogs throughout the day in a fast-paced environment. Attention, balance, and gentle handling are key.
