Responsibilities:

• Operate trucks or other multi‑purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off‑farm) to the farm properties, haul tools, supplies, or crops, and circulate workers around the farm during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmers’ fields and/or transport workers to the grocery store or bank as needed). Load agricultural products into trucks and drive trucks to market or storage facilities.
• Manually prune, plant, cultivate, and harvest apples and pears using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Tilling soil, laying fertilizers, transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops, and applying pesticides.
• Construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, set up and operate irrigation equipment, and clear & maintain irrigation ditches.
• Harvest fruits by hand, pick apples for fresh marketing and/or processing, and place them in a metal‑framed canvas‑covered picking bucket.
• Maintain a minimum productivity standard of 116 bushels of fresh‑market apples per day, ensuring fruit bruising does not exceed 4 % and selecting mature fruit according to USDA standards.
• Lift up to 75 lb continuously and must be physically able to work from ladders and lower branches, carrying buckets weighing up to 40 lb.
• Work under extreme temperatures, repeated movements, extensive walking, and frequent stooping, while following basic English instructions.
• Adhere to safety rules, including limited emergency‑only cellphone usage in the field.

Requirements:

• Minimum three months of verifiable experience performing the tasks described.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lb continuously.
• Experience in extreme temperature environments.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, extensive walking, and frequent stooping.
• Basic instruction understanding in English.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; a class D license is acceptable.
• Must have Apple Farm experience.
• Workers referred as a result of this order must have at least six months of verifiable experience.
