Nassau Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our AAHA accredited six doctor practice celebrates the bond between pets and people. Founded in 1937, Nassau Veterinary Clinic is one of the oldest animal hospitals in New York State. Inside our state-of-the-art facility, you will find 6 comfortable exam rooms, a surgery suite, a spacious hospital treatment area, and modern X-ray equipment.

We have a grooming room, a pet training room, and an outdoor exercise area where agility classes are held. We can house 100 pets and over 30 team members dedicated to quality patient care!

We are looking for a team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive, compassionate attitude.

• Obtain intake vitals and a pertinent history on patients for their appointments
• Perform in‑house lab work and assist in radiology
• Assist in prepping patients for surgery, and in the operating room
• Fill prescription medications
• Restrain patients for physical examinations, venipuncture, medication administration, etc.

• Have 1 year experience
• Have a flexible schedule
• Be able to multi‑task
• Have extreme attention to detail
• Be willing to learn and adapt with veterinary medicine
