Overview

Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Heart of Chelsea, New York. Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, located in New York, New York, has an opening for a full time Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. Applicants must hold a current license or be able to sit for the VTNE. Salary is based on experience; experienced technicians may receive a higher rate.

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
• Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory work
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Provide excellent client communication and education
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff

• Valid NYS Veterinary Technician license
• Experience in a general practice or emergency setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
• Candidates with experience can expect a wage commensurate with their knowledge and skill set; continuing education opportunities are provided, including attendance at conferences and other venues.

• Full-Time: some evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays on a rotating basis. May require filling in at other Heart of Chelsea locations.
