Central Park Zoo Animal Associate (Tisch Children’s Zoo). Job Family:
Animal Programs.

Central Park Zoo (Tisch Children’s Zoo). Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal. Department: CPZ Animal Department. Status:
Non-Exempt. Pay Rate: $17.00/hour.

Schedule:

Must be able to work 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.

• Responsible for basic observation of animals, preparation of diets, maintenance and cleaning of exhibits, and reporting any problems to a supervisor.
• Daily exhibit preparation, feeding, watering and cleaning/disinfecting of holding areas for collection animals. Assist with record keeping and general upkeep of animal care areas.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds.
• Comfortable being exposed to cold and hot weather conditions.
• Good verbal communication skills, and ability to interact with zoo guests.
