Licensed Veterinary Technician – VCA Staten Island Animal Hospital
Location: Staten Island, NY
Compensation: $29-$33/hr (subject to experience, NYS veterinary technician license required)
About the Hospital: Staten Island Animal Hospital has been serving the community since the early 1940s. Our full‑service facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for companion animals with a team of compassionate, experienced professionals.
Responsibilities- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Monitor anesthesia settings and assist during surgeries.
- Assist with dentistry, radiology, and laboratory work.
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and pharmacy tasks.
- Support patient recovery and provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Create a positive, low‑stress environment for clients and pets.
- Current NYS licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT).
- Strong knowledge of physical exams, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, laboratory, and phlebotomy.
- Commitment to high‑quality client and animal care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
