The Town of Bethlehem is seeking a Parks and Recreation Maintenance Person candidate to work in the Town’s Parks and Recreation and Highway Departments. Primary duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

• Assists in cleaning and maintaining swimming pools and related equipment;
• Repairs, maintenance and cleaning of park and recreation grounds, fields, trails, equipment, restrooms and buildings;
• Performs preventative maintenance and repair to park and recreation equipment;
• May supervise the work of seasonal employees involved with park and recreation maintenance;
• Mobile Stage set up and special event maintenance related tasks
• Mowing of Town property;
• Acting as a wingman during snow removal for the Highway Department;
• Plowing and snow removal for parks and ice skating pond.

A valid NYS Driver License is required for this position.

Certified Pool Operator license is a plus but not required. If hired and not in possession of the license, the Town will arrange for employee to take the Certified Pool Operator Course.

Starting salary for this job is $54,579.
