Associate Veterinarian

Culbreth Carr Watson Animal Clinic is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Rome, Georgia — a charming, historic city built across seven hills at the meeting point of three rivers, tucked into the foothills of the Appalachians. If you're looking for a practice with a strong reputation, a supportive team, and a genuinely fun place to put down roots, we'd love to talk.

Why Rome, Georgia?

Yes, it's named after that Rome — and it takes the theme seriously, in the best way.

• A city built on seven hills, just like the original. Rome sits where the Etowah and Oostanaula Rivers join to form the Coosa — a genuinely scenic setting with river views from nearly everywhere downtown.
• Georgia's largest Victorian-era downtown district
, full of boutique shopping, locally loved restaurants, and craft breweries — plus a free trolley (the "Roman Chariot") to get you around without needing to find parking.
• Climb the Clocktower. 107 steps up gets you the best view in town, overlooking the rivers and rooftops.
• The Capitoline Wolf — an actual gift from Rome, Italy to Rome, Georgia — makes for one of the most photographed spots downtown, right at the interactive Town Green fountains.
• 40+ miles of trails
, including sections of the Pinhoti Trail and the Advent Health Redmond ECO Greenway, looping along all three rivers and connecting parks, restaurants, and shops.
• Minor league baseball under the lights. Catch the Rome Emperors at Advent Health Stadium, complete with post-game fireworks on select nights.
• A dog-lover's town, unapologetically. Rome hosts Schnauzer fest every October — a two-day festival with a costume parade, agility contests, and a "Schnauzer Idol" singing competition, alongside plenty of everyday dog-friendly parks and patios.
• Close enough to everywhere. Downtown Atlanta and Chattanooga are both under 90 minutes away, and Cave Spring — a picturesque nearby town with a natural spring, cave, and antique shops — is just 15 miles down the road.
• Home to Berry College and Shorter University
, giving Rome a college-town energy alongside its small-city charm.
