Climbing Arborist/CDL — Unicorns Welcome

Apparently unicorns are hard to find. We're hiring one anyway.

Tip Top Tree Experts is searching for an experienced tree-care professional who can climb, understands trees, maybe hold a CDL too, and actually enjoys working.

Yes—we know.

We may as well be looking for a wizard riding a unicorn carrying a chainsaw.

But we know you're out there.

Maybe you're an experienced climber who's tired of being treated like you're just the climber.

Maybe you've earned your CDL because you understand that trucks don't magically transport themselves.

Maybe you're an arborist—or working toward becoming one—who can look at a tree and see more than "Yep, that's an oak."

If that's you, we should probably talk.

We're looking for someone with real tree-industry experience who can be part of the crew—not someone who learned tree work from three You Tube videos last Tuesday.

Our ideal mythical creature can:

  • CLIMB — Professional tree-climbing and rigging experience.
  • DRIVE — CDL and experience around tree-industry trucks and equipment.
  • THINK — Arboricultural knowledge. ISA Certified Arborist is fantastic; someone serious about advancing their arboricultural knowledge is worth talking to.
  • RIG — Understand that gravity is extremely dependable and plan accordingly.
  • USE GOOD JUDGMENT — Anybody can start a chainsaw. Knowing what should happen before starting it is considerably more valuable.
  • WORK WITH A CREW — No superheroes required. No enormous egos either. Tree work is a team sport.

Competitive pay based on experience and ability.

Year-round tree work.

Interesting projects.

A crew that appreciates someone who knows what they're doing.

Opportunities to use your knowledge—not leave it sitting in the truck.

And perhaps most importantly...

We're looking for another member of the team, not another warm body holding a chainsaw.

"If you have to ask which end of the chainsaw does the cutting... this particular adventure probably isn't for you."

The owl would like it noted that the squirrel was not authorized by management to make that statement.

The squirrel stands by it.

If you're an experienced climber, CDL driver, arborist—or that rare person who brings several of those skills together,we want to hear from you.

You don't need magical powers.

Being damn good at tree work will do.
