Associated Veterinarian

Position: Associated Veterinarian Needed
Location: New Hartford

Our client is a small animal hospital with a longstanding, well-established client base, looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join the practice on a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital cares for dogs and cats, alongside some exotic pets and birds.  The Associate Veterinarian will carry out full general practice responsibilities, including patient consultations, clinical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and managing ongoing patient care.

The role involves discussing treatment options with owners, maintaining accurate medical records and working with colleagues to deliver high standards of veterinary care. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
The hospital occupies a 13,000-square-foot facility equipped with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, a double dental suite and a double surgical suite. The hospital has been AAHA-accredited since 1995 and a Fear Free Certified Practice since 2021. Separate waiting areas are provided for dogs and cats, and the practice uses hands-free techniques. Services include primary and preventative care, advanced care, laser therapy, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery and Tonopen eye pressure testing.

Hospital opening hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am-2:00pm.
The team consists of three doctors, eight licensed veterinary technicians, four veterinary assistants and four client service representatives. Management support includes an Assistant Manager and a Hospital Manager who holds an MBA and Certified Veterinary Practice Manager qualification.
Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
