We are searching for a motivated & experienced QA Supervisor

As a QA Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, QA Tech Test Kitchen, and Line Technicians to uphold internal systems and controls for quality production, ensuring compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising QA Test Kitchen Technicians and QA Inspectors, ensuring their alignment with company requirements. Additionally, you will act as a backup QA Manager and Director of QA as needed.

ESSENTIAL

RESPONSIBILITIES &

ACCOUNTABILITIES :
  • Oversee QA Test Kitchen Techs and QA Inspectors to ensure compliance with FDA standards, CFRs, GFSI/SQF, and customer requirements.
  • Implement and adhere to HARPC, HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, and other QA plans to maintain specified quality standards.
  • Collaborate with QA technicians to ensure compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support changeovers in the production area and address product quality and compliance issues.
  • Foster a Quality Culture and maintain a safe working environment in collaboration with operations.
  • Review production documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, SOPs, and GMP requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, GMP audits, and audits for glass and brittle plastic in line with SQF Code.
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for data analysis to improve processes.
  • Identify improvement needs for the QA Department and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage third-party lab tests, ensuring compliance with corporate programs and procedures.
  • Ensure the calibration system is functional and appropriately documented.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of quality-related issues, waste reduction, and scrap reduction.
  • Archive QA/Corrective Action files and prepare reports for audit preparations.
  • Conduct Quality Audits at vendor sites as required.
  • Perform tests and inspections at all Europastry production and storage facilities.
  • Maintain technical information, color charts, and specifications, distributing new versions when necessary.
  • Verify pre-ops inspections and complete job‑related training as required.
  • Undertake other QA administrative‑supervisor tasks assigned by the QA Manager or Director.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock‑out/tag‑out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
  • As part of your supervisory responsibility and as a back‑up, supervisors must be able to do your work in ways that ensure safe food. You must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory.

    You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of FDA standards, GFSI/SQF, and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience in quality assurance and food production is required.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
