We are a sophisticated, market-leading law firm seeking a highly motivated and experienced Title Coordinator to join our established Real Estate Practice Group. This vital role supports attorneys in high-volume, complex transactions by expertly managing the critical due diligence processes of title, survey, and zoning review. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of operating independently across our multi-office platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Title Analysis: Conduct comprehensive, detailed review of title commitments, exception documents, and underlying instruments (deeds, mortgages, easements, etc.).
  • Survey Reconciliation: Analyze and reconcile boundary surveys, ensuring legal descriptions align with title documents and proactively identifying potential issues like encroachments, access problems, or boundary discrepancies.
  • Zoning Due Diligence: Manage the end-to-end process of obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing zoning reports, municipal permits, and land use approvals for complex commercial and residential properties.
  • Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between attorneys, title companies, surveyors, lenders, and zoning departments to resolve complex issues efficiently and timely.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple closing schedules and project timelines simultaneously, ensuring all pre-closing due diligence is complete, accurate, and ready for closing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in title review, survey analysis, and zoning due diligence, preferably within a commercial real estate law firm or title agency setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex legal descriptions, endorsements, and real estate transactional documents.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to successfully manage a high volume of simultaneous projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to proactively identify and resolve title and survey discrepancies before they impact closing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external parties across multiple offices.

What We Offer:

  • The ability to choose your preferred office location (Cedarhurst, Brooklyn, or Lakewood) for convenient commuting.
  • A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k).
  • The opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-profile real estate transactions and grow your expertise.
  • A collegial, professional, and supportive office environment with advanced technology and resources.
