Location: New York
An Investment Real Estate Company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Asset Manager to join their team in New York, NY
. This full‑time, exempt in‑person position oversees the daily operations of multifamily rental properties, acts as a liaison between investors and property owners, and handles light accounting duties.
- Prepare account reports and statements for the Japan office
- Review Property Management (PM) reports, focusing on building relationships with partner companies and ensuring high‑quality standards for clients
- Report to the supervisor on Asset Management (AM) reports for building owners, meeting deadlines and addressing follow‑up inquiries
- Handle all associated paperwork and administrative tasks
- Manage property management tasks, including addressing delinquencies, violations, and repair/maintenance issues
- Provide on‑site support for PM activities, including temporary problem‑solving, property inspections, and owner‑tenant interactions
- Oversee rental property management, including lease renewals and property marketing
- Manage leasing progress through effective communication with partner companies
- Monitor and calculate leasing rents, focusing on RS (Rent Stabilization) and legal rent computations
- Execute, support, and manage various application processes related to property management
- Schedule meetings with investors
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years of real estate work experience with a Real Estate License
- Ability to calculate rental income and expenses every month (construction, etc.)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese
- Strong communication skills with investors and property owners
- Real Estate License
