Location: New York

Analyst – Real Estate Asset Management and Development Key Responsibilities

  • Support process improvements throughout the Real Estate portfolio by providing reports documenting the efforts to reduce operating expenses and standardize procedures.
  • Develop customized reports supporting initiatives by managing the collection of special projects and property management related performance measurements.
  • Manage ownership reporting, quarterly updates, and presentations.
  • Organize and maintain a project management tracking database which can be used to manage and report on the progress and payment status of key projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze utility consumption and spend throughout the residential portfolio.
  • Coordinate the implementation and introduction of energy savings initiatives throughout the residential.
  • Develop customized reports to be used by senior management to evaluate and measure energy.
  • Attend weekly operations support meetings and provide support as needed.
  • Support investment underwriting, modeling, and analysis for new development and acquisition.
  • Conduct market research and prepare competitive reports to inform project feasibility.
  • Assist with transaction documentation, including LOIs, term sheets, and redlines.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, portfolio tracking, and internal reporting.
  • Participate in site visits and travel to active and pipeline projects (approximately quarterly).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, construction, and finance teams to support end-to-end project execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • Computer literacy with basic Microsoft Windows and Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in real estate, finance, development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel; exposure to Argus or similar tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter with intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn the full investment lifecycle.
  • Interest in residential development and asset management strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in person, by phone, and via written correspondence.
  • Miscellaneous office duties include filing, copying, faxing, and data entry.
  • Keep management updated regarding status of core items by preparing area status reports.
  • Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; support organization goals and values.
