Responsibilities
  • Regulatory & Program Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, including but not limited to HPD, HDC, LIHTC, and other funding sources.
    • Monitor adherence to all contractual, regulatory, and programmatic obligations for the Willets Point development.
    • Maintain current knowledge of changes in housing and development regulations.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Prepare, collect, review, and submit certifications and supporting documentation for various oversight agencies.
    • Maintain detailed and organized records of all compliance activities, approvals, and correspondence.
  • Resident Eligibility & Leasing Compliance
    • Work with the Compliance Managers to ensure proper screening, income verification, and certification of residents in accordance with program guidelines.
    • Perform all file qualification functions of a lease‑up.
  • Internal Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner with Compliance team peers, Compliance Admins, and others as required to meet lease‑up goals and targets.
    • Primary contact with applicants. Perform tasks within Housing Connect 2.0, Affordable Rent Café, and Yardi.
Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

This position is contract‑to‑hire, with the possibility of full‑time employment upon successful completion of the contract period.

Qualifications
  • Availability to work in‑office (5 days a week)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in compliance, affordable housing, or property management within a real estate development or management environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, HPD, HDC, etc.) and associated compliance requirements.
  • Experience preparing compliance reports, audits, and regulatory filings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with compliance tracking systems preferred.
