Accounting Manager, Housing & Real EstateSalary: $110,000 – $125,000

- Lead the financial oversight of a diverse portfolio of housing and real estate entities
- Influence capital planning, investment decisions, and long‑term portfolio strategy
- Collaborate with lenders, auditors, government agencies, syndicators, and property management partners
- Lead and mentor finance team members while strengthening accounting operations and reporting processes
- Work cross‑functionally with Development, Operations, Facilities, Procurement, and Finance leaders
- Drive improvements in financial reporting, internal controls, and process efficiency
- Blend strategic financial planning with hands‑on accounting leadership responsibilities
- Expand your expertise in affordable housing, nonprofit finance, and complex real estate structures
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and compliance across multiple real estate and housing entities
- Manage audits, tax filings, lender reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Support financial analysis related to development projects, acquisitions, refinancing, and portfolio investments
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reserve monitoring, and portfolio performance reporting
- Serve as the primary financial contact for third‑party property management companies and external stakeholders
- Supervise finance staff while implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Progressive accounting or finance experience with prior leadership responsibilities
- Strong background in multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, audits, and GAAP compliance
- Experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, LPs, LLCs, joint ventures, or nonprofit real estate organizations highly preferred
- Proven experience managing regulatory compliance and external reporting requirements
