Development Associate

This Development Associate role supports a real estate development team in advancing projects from early feasibility through predevelopment and into construction execution. The position sits in a cross-functional environment and works closely with internal investment and development leaders as well as third-party consultants and counter parties to keep project information, approvals, and deliverables organized and moving forward. Based in New York, the role combines analytical underwriting and market work with day-to-day project coordination across the development lifecycle.

• Support development projects from feasibility through entitlements, design, financing, and construction handoff
• Build and maintain development pro formas, sensitivity analyses, and investment committee materials
• Support market research and competitive analysis to inform program, unit mix, pricing, and absorption assumptions
• Coordinate due diligence work streams, including site, zoning, environmental, and third-party consultant scopes
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners (architects, engineers, counsel, contractors, brokers) to keep deliverables on track
• Assist with budgeting and schedule tracking; maintain project-level assumptions and change logs
• Prepare materials for internal approvals and lender/investor updates related to development milestones
• Manage document control for contracts, consultant agreements, design deliverables, and permit/approval records
