Development Associate

This Development Associate role supports the front-end underwriting and execution of a real estate development pipeline, bridging feasibility analysis with day-to-day project coordination. The position sits within a development team and is focused on building and maintaining the financial and approval materials used to advance opportunities through internal review. Based in New York, NY, the role also helps keep external consultant workflows, budgets, schedules, and key risk items organized as projects move from diligence into preconstruction and financing.

• Support sourcing and evaluation of development opportunities, including initial feasibility and site diligence
• Build and maintain pro forma models and sensitivities to evaluate returns, capital needs, and development scenarios
• Assist with preparing investment committee materials and internal deal memos for development approvals
• Coordinate entitlement and permitting workflows with internal stakeholders and external consultants
• Support design and preconstruction activities, including scope reviews, concept budgeting, and schedule inputs
• Help manage third-party teams (architects, engineers, consultants) by tracking deliverables, timelines, and open items
• Maintain development budgets, schedules, and reporting dashboards; track variances and key risk items
• Assist with financing and capital stack coordination, including lender/investor materials and closing diligence
