The successful candidate will develop and implement new strategies for colloidal self-assembly, including colloidal epitaxy and microfluidic-based methods
. They will also implement advanced optical characterization techniques, such as coherent back scattering
, frequency autocorrelation
, and photonic band-structure measurements
.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. The Pine group offers a dynamic and highly collaborative research environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities for optical characterization, imaging, and scattering
