quip operates across DTC, Retail, Amazon, and Dental Professional DTC channels.
We are looking for a Senior Manager in Market Research & Consumer Insights based in our Brooklyn office. In this role you will be quip’s resident expert on consumers, oral‑wellness trends, and product innovation opportunities. You’ll lead market research initiatives that inform new products, portfolio planning, brand positioning, and overall consumer experience, working cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, and Creative teams to turn insights into action.
The role is a contract position scoped at approximately 30 hours per month, with potential for additional hours as needs evolve.
Hourly Rate: $125
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead Market Research & Insights:
Design, execute, and analyze qualitative and quantitative studies (surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, in‑home testing). - Consumer‑Centric Storytelling:
Translate insights into actionable recommendations that guide product development, marketing strategy, and brand positioning. - Portfolio & Product Foresight:
Leverage research and trend analysis to inform short‑ and long‑term product and portfolio strategy. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with Product, Marketing, Creative, and CX teams to integrate consumer insights into campaigns, product launches, and content initiatives. - Research Operations:
Manage research calendar, vendor relationships, sample targeting, survey programming, and qualitative fieldwork logistics. - Data Synthesis:
Combine multiple data sources—primary research, transactional data, digital analytics, secondary research—to generate holistic insights. - Market Trend Analysis:
Stay on top of oral‑wellness, personal health, and lifestyle trends to guide strategic recommendations and inspire the team. - Presentation & Influence:
Communicate findings effectively to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, tailoring insights to the audience.
- 6+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or foresight, ideally in CPG, wellness, or related industries.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating non‑linear situations.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including surveys, focus groups, cross‑tab analysis, and regression modeling.
- Experience managing external research vendors and internal research operations.
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills; ability to balance data‑driven insights with strategic storytelling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence decisions across teams.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with research platforms such as Qualtrics, survey programming, and statistical tools.
