The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire two current Columbia University student to assist with grant funded projects focusing on the use of explainable AI approaches to understand the impacts of lifestyle factors on the health outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist PIs in conducting specific research projects including but not limited to conducting statistical analysis, literature review, and revising and editing manuscripts to respond to reviewer comments
  • Lead individual and collaborative data analysis projects and conduct preliminary data analysis for funding proposals
  • Help support grant submissions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

This is a temporary position with a flexible work schedule.

This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon the grant.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Biostatistics, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in R or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git/Git Hub) and reproducible research practices.
