Overview
Role:
Scientist, Analytical Sciences & Technology at Unicon Pharma Inc. This role supports analytical method lifecycle activities—method development, qualification, validation, and technical transfer—for raw materials, biologics, drug substance, and drug product samples. Non-GMP testing and stability work support clinical and commercial GMP manufacturing.
- Develop, author, and peer-review SOPs, analytical methods, protocols, and reports
- Execute non-GMP testing: method development, comparability studies, reference standard qualification, and stability testing
- Document and validate experimental data, perform trending and data review
- Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical guidance
- Identify and implement emerging analytical technologies
- Support regulatory submissions and audit readiness
- Handle routine lab tasks: sample management, instrument maintenance, inventory, and housekeeping
- Education: B.Sc./B.Eng. or M.Sc./M.Eng. in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field
- Experience: 0–5 years in biologic/protein analytical testing
- Preferred
Skills: - Familiar with GMP, PAT, CMC, ICH guidelines, regulatory requirements
- Strong technical writing, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Lab and office work (PPE required; may involve handling biohazards, solvents, heated materials)
- Physically active role (pipetting, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching)
- Flexible schedule, may include occasional shift work or weekend coverage
- Travel: Up to 5% domestic or international
- Note: Candidates should have ≥2–3 years of relevant lab experience; master’s graduates with internships/co-ops are welcome
- Location:
New York, United States - Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000
