Postdoctoral Associate – Molecular Biology and Genetics

The Crickard laboratory at Cornell is hiring a full‑time postdoctoral associate for an American Cancer Society funded project focusing on the etiology of cancer development driven by deregulation of DNA motor proteins. The candidate will receive training in single‑molecule imaging and will interact with graduate students and collaborate with other groups.

• 65% bench laboratory experiments
• 15% data analysis and preparation for presentation
• 10% mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
• 10% professional development

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology
• Evidence of peer‑reviewed publications in a related field and general enthusiasm for science
• Experience in protein purification, assay development, and maintenance of cell culture (protein expression and purification from insect or human cells a plus)

Weekly meetings with the principal investigator and regular presentations at lab meetings.

Salary set at NIH rates. Current hiring rate $62,232. Pay range $61,008.00 – $87,000.00.

Onsite – Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
