Associate Scientist

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Protein Expression Sciences team, supporting our Veloci Mab antibody discovery efforts in an on-site capacity. In this role, you will operate automated liquid handlers to perform high-throughput cloning and isolation of potential therapeutic antibodies while collaborating with your Protein Expression Sciences colleagues.

• Operating and troubleshooting automated liquid handling systems to support antibody discovery
• Performing high-throughput PCR, cloning and DNA isolation
• Isolating potential therapeutic antibodies for our Veloci Mab platform
• Seeding and transfecting CHO transient cell lines on an automated platform
• Recording experimental data accurately in our electronic systems
• Adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced lab environment

• B.S. with 2+ years of laboratory experience, or M.S., in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biology, or a related field
• Experience with general molecular biology skills such as PCR, DNA sequencing, mutagenesis, plasmid subcloning and mammalian cell transfection
• Strong communication and organizational skills, adept technical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable when priorities change from day to day, meticulous and detail-oriented in your work
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with automated liquid handlers (preferably Hamilton STAR, Vantage and High Res PRIME)
• Preferred:
  Experience in high-throughput assays
