Description

Assistant Manager are pivotal team members entrusted with overseeing the smooth operation of the establishment during their shifts. Similar to a floor manager, they provide assistance to customers when the rest of the team may be occupied, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Their responsibilities include greeting and seating guests at the host station, addressing customer complaints and errors, facilitating table service by delivering dishes, coordinating with the kitchen to fulfill customer requests, soliciting feedback from guests to enhance their restaurant experience, and communicating any significant issues or feedback to the manager for resolution or compensation.

Assistant Manager act as liaisons between customers and the management team to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist guests at the host station, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Address customer complaints and rectify any errors or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with various tasks as needed, including clearing tables, cleaning, and other duties to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Facilitate table service by delivering food and beverages to guests when necessary.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Engage with customers to solicit feedback on their dining experience and address any concerns.
  • Communicate significant customer feedback or operational issues to the manager for resolution or compensation.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service and teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and basic food safety protocols.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and ensure customer satisfaction.
