Prep Cook

• Wash, peel, and cut various foods to prepare for cooking.
• Prepare items consistently to company recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station and the kitchen.
• Label and store all products following company and safety standards.
• Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• Inform management when equipment is not working properly.
• Complete opening and closing checklists and assist others in opening and closing the kitchen.
• Possess in‑depth knowledge of assigned recipes and produce them to company standards.
• Follow direction provided by the Kitchen Manager.
• Communicate and support co‑workers, line cooks, and Kitchen Manager.
• Understand and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, and procedures.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
• Fill in for fellow team members where needed to ensure quality and service standards are met.
• Arrive appropriately dressed and ready to work on time.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Prep or line cook experience is a plus.
• Ability to work holidays even if they’re not scheduled days.
• Physical requirements:
  
  heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to work in a hot, wet, humid, loud environment at fast pace.
