Kitchen Aide; Substitute Position – Kosher Facility

We are seeking a reliable, part‑time Kitchen Aide to join our team on an as‑needed, substitute basis. Our center is a glatt kosher facility serving older adults, and we receive catered meals daily. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and be comfortable jumping in when needed, sometimes with short notice.

• Assist with receiving and properly storing catered meals.
• Plate and serve meals in accordance with kosher guidelines and food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas.
• Follow all Department for the Aging (DFTA) and Department of Health protocols.
• Stock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored.
• Assist with clean‑up, including sanitizing surfaces, washing utensils, and organizing supplies.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and program staff.

• Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred).
• Prior experience in food service or kitchen work, especially in a kosher setting, is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and respectful to older adults.
• Flexibility to work as a substitute with varied weekly hours.

• Part‑time, substitute position.
• Typically serving 70 meals per day, sometimes up to 100.
