Position: Line Chef @ Fortune’s (Full Time)
Location: New York

Under the direction of the Chefs, is responsible for the assistance in all aspects needed in the preparation of the daily kitchen activities. The Line Chef will take a positive and professional approach with co-workers, meet the Chef’s expectations regarding food preparation and completion of daily tasks, use proper knife skills, and maintain production logs and cleanliness of work areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of the daily menu.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment to ensure it is used properly and safely.
  • Responsible for assurance of cleanliness and organization of the workstations, tools, and equipment.
  • Responsible for organization of all prep items for the day’s menu.
  • Assist in the breakdown of the workstation and complete closing duties according to department standards.
  • Responsible for the assistance of restocking items depleted during the shift.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING

    Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills and be familiar with the restaurant functions and duties that are required. Must have 1-3 years’ experience in similar position.

    ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Service Employee license issued by the New York State Gaming Commission.

    Get Social with Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel

    Monday thru Thursday 8am–1am Friday thru Sunday 8am–3am

    Must be 18 years of age or older to play video gaming machines or wager on horses. Please play responsibly.
