Position:
Cooks

Cooks are responsible for preparing Panda Express entrées and side dishes, executing recipes correctly to ensure quality, practicing food safety, and maintaining cleanliness at the restaurant. Cross-training for Front of House operations is recommended. Cooks should be able to perform all Back of House operations including prepping, cooking, and cleaning.

The Cook follows established procedures and applies technical standards and principles. Their work impacts both Front of House and Back of House activities.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare dishes according to Panda Express standards, ensuring flavor, color, and aroma quality.
• Assist managers with training, scheduling, and guiding Back of House staff.
• Control food inventory and place orders with vendors as needed.
• Technical & Business Knowledge: Apply knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking utensils.

Qualifications:

• Some high school education.
• 1-2 years related experience.

Communication & Teamwork:

• Interact daily with peers, managers, and guests, exchanging factual information.

Problem Solving:

• Recognize deviations from standard practices and apply skills and policies to perform tasks.
