Bar Back

Be a full‑time Bar Back with Union Square Events, located at 520 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10036. Online applications only.

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Bar Back position. The role involves receiving, replenishing, and managing liquor, beer, and wine stock as well as supporting bartenders and maintaining bar cleanliness throughout the shift.

• Hourly pay: $11.00–$16.50
• Internal employee referral bonus available.

• 2–3 years of barback experience.
• Ability to perform barista duties in addition to barback responsibilities.
• Proper lifting technique, safety‑compliant methods, and excellent customer‑service skills.

• Receive and restock all liquor, beer, and wine from storeroom.
• Retrieve food items and garnishes from kitchen and deliver to bar area.
• Set up bottles and ensure proper tap function.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar, including shelves, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Assist bartenders with service needs and ensure smooth transactions.
• Prepare and serve beverages as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing side work.
• Bus tables in the bar area and manage trash removal.
• Support inventory prep and stock control.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Mon–Fri – Breakfast: 7:30 am–11:00 am
• Mon–Fri – Lunch: 11:30 am–3:00 pm
• Sun–Thu – Dinner: 5:00 pm–9:00 pm
• Fri & Sat – Dinner: 5:00 pm–10:00 pm
• Sat‑Sun – Brunch: 10:30 am–3:00 pm
