SOUS CHEF

Sous Chef – Flik Hospitality Group

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 / year

As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the Culinary Department for a conference facility. You will assist the Executive Chef in supervision, preparation, and cooking of various food items, develop daily menu items, and oversee garnishment. Your role includes supervising hourly associates, collaborating on new menus, and managing inventory and ordering.

• Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
• Assist in planning and creating menus
• Produce and execute catering events
• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and the culinary team

• A.S. or equivalent experience
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
• Catering experience a plus
• High-volume, complex food‑service operations experience
• Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food‑cost controls, and presentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, e‑mail, and the Internet
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities
• Serv Safe certification highly desirable
