Position Overview :The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing grilled items, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards. The ideal candidate is skilled in grilling techniques, able to manage multiple orders, and committed to producing high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities :Grill Preparation :
Cook and grill meats, seafood, and vegetables to the desired doneness and according to the menu specifications.
- Ensure the grill is operating at the correct temperature and is clean and ready for use.
- Monitor food temperatures and adjust cooking times to ensure food is safe and delicious.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Regularly clean grill equipment and maintain a clean workspace.
Monitor the supply of ingredients for grilled items and inform the kitchen manager of any shortages.
- Ensure food items are properly stored and labeled according to health regulations.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that grilled items are prepared and delivered on time.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.
- Previous experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar role is required.
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
