Bartender job at Warren Street Hotel. New York, NY. We are looking for an eager Bartender to join our Wonderful team. The ideal candidate will be a trained professional that understands how to effectively expedite and serve all of our guests needs. He or she will have a passion for food and beverage equally, and understands how to read a guest properly to ensure quality service, leaving a lasting impression and memorable experience.

Responsibilities

To maintain a professional and friendly demeanour at all times
To practice and promote teamwork by assisting your fellow bartenders, back servers, and all other colleagues whenever necessary.
Enter drink orders correctly and rapidly into the Micros POS
Responsibility for individual bank and accuracy
Exceptional upselling techniques
To ensure all allergy procedures are followed at all times
To deliver food and beverages to guests in an efficient and professional manner
To carry out daily side work duties without exception
To have a full understanding of New York City Health Department standards and regulations
To report any guest complaints immediately to the Manager/ Supervisor
To have comprehensive knowledge of the menu and wine list
To take personal responsibility for punctuality
Maintain high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times
Ensure high level of communication between the restaurant and other departments of the hotel
To promote other Firmdale Hotels and restaurants

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of wines and high end spirits
Knowledge of Micros POS System
Highly organized
Must be open to working AM/PM shifts, week days, weekends and holidays
To have a full understanding of New York City Health Department standards and regulations
