Job Title: Pizza Cook/Prep Cook

Department: Kitchen Operations

Reports To: 320 Kent Management

Responsibilities
  • Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Stretch, shape, and top pizza dough with precision and efficiency.
  • Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring proper temperature and cooking times.
  • Monitor pizzas during the cooking process to prevent burning and ensure even baking.
  • Cut, box, and garnish pizzas according to presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
  • Manage the inventory of pizza-related ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including food preparation and cleaning.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Handle multiple orders efficiently and accurately, especially during peak hours.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with colleagues and customers.
Qualifications
  • Obtain or have NYC Food Handler License within first 60

    Days required.
  • Proven experience as a Pizza Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Strong Hospitality focus with ability in connecting with guests while in position.
  • Knowledge of different pizza styles, dough preparation techniques, and topping combinations.
  • Ability to operate and maintain pizza ovens safely and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and maintain a positive commitment.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
