Assistant General Manager

Position

Assistant General Manager – The Dinex Group (Chef Daniel Boulud)

• Base pay: $85,000 – $95,000 per year
• Annual Bonus

• Perform proper execution of opening and closing procedures, pre and post service duties
• Assist general manager with pre‑meal meetings
• Monitor service to guests in all areas of the restaurant
• Ensure team members’ adherence to service standards
• Support hiring decisions and issue progressive disciplinary action, including termination
• Communicate with kitchen to update them on service issues (e.g., pace of service, VIP tables)
• Review reservation sheet and seating plan and react to any special requests or VIPs
• Sustain guest relations while expanding the portfolio
• Prepare daily briefing sheet to note program revisions and highlights
• Maintain supply para including linen, china, glass and silverware
• Maintain the phone coverage standards
• Ensure that service is technically proficient
• Recover guest complaints and opportunities for a positive outcome
• Handle guest correspondence as necessary

• Extensive knowledge of French cuisine and wines
• Experience in Michelin and Forbes Standards training
• Three years of service experience with at least two in management, preferably in a fine dining environment
• Proficiency in Upserve, Resy and Breadcrumb/Lightspeed
• Ability to lead, train and inspire
• Organizational skills
• Effective time management
• Present with professional demeanor
• Positive and clear written and oral communication skills
• Ability to engage guests successfully and build a relationship
