Location: Locust Valley
The Locust Valley Central School District is looking for a Food Service Helper to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation.
- Serving and customer service duties (taking in customer orders).
- Cleaning, maintaining work areas, floors, tables and counters according to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Organizing kitchen inventory supplies and food ingredients.
- Record food inventory supplies.
- Ensures compliance with all State, Federal and local health and safety requirements for safe food handling.
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- Hourly rate: $17.91 (incremental increase depending on experience).
- Proven experience working in a similar role.
- Prior experience in school establishments is preferred.
- Ability to follow simple oral and written directions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others.
