Overview
JOB PURPOSE:
The Store Manager of Twinleaf Express is responsible for the daily operations and overall management of the convenience store, which operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This role involves leading a dynamic team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, particularly during peak business hours. The Store Manager collaborates closely with in-store receivers, restaurant staff, the Grab-and-Go team, and the COO to ensure competitive pricing and healthy profit margins.
Attention to detail, operational accuracy, and strong leadership are essential to support the continued growth and success of the business.
Store Operations, includes Grab and Go:
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment by adhering to and enforcing all safety protocols
- Oversee daily cash drawer and POS system balancing
- Provide excellent customer service through professional and friendly interactions
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager on all store maintenance needs
- Ensure proper disposal of damaged or defective merchandise
- Maintain quality control of all products leaving the store
- Monitor inventory levels and manage product ordering as needed
- Receive and inspect shipments in the absence of the store receiver
- Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records
- Work with the Senior Retail Manager to analyze profit margins and identify growth opportunities
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are executed properly and maintain store cleanliness and appearance
- Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and in accordance with company policy
- Maintain accurate fuel inventory and POS records, including tank level checks
- Forward all job applications to the HR department
- Support business objectives by contributing to team efforts and achieving related results
Seasonal Operations – Sweet Treats:
- Oversee seasonal operations of the Sweet Treats outlet
- Hire and train seasonal full-time and part-time staff
- Ensure Sweet Treats is properly managed, stocked, and ready to meet customer demand
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage front-line staff, including Cashiers, Fuel Attendants, and Grab-and-Go employees
- Handle hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Coordinate shift coverage and provide hands-on support when needed
- Administer coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions as appropriate
- Model professional behavior and lead by example
- Encourage team input and foster continuous improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education and Experience:
- High school Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of retail supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Organized and capable of multitasking with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel
- High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearance
- Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time
- Experience using POS systems preferred
- Schedule includes evenings and weekends to meet the business demands.
