Meat - Meat Cutter

We are seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team at The Market in the Square.

• Provides exceptional customer service at our Meat counter
• Cuts, trims, and prepares meat according to company standards and customer requests
• Safely operates meat-cutting equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the department

• Previous experience cutting meat is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends

• Ability to safely operate equipment, including, but not limited to, knives, meat saws, vacuum sausage makers, scales, wrappers, grinders and slicers
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and labeling regulations, USDA regulations, and OSHA standards
• Knowledge and practice of cross-contamination prevention, proper food preparation and storage
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills in order to ensure excellent customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day
• The ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible hours

• 5+ years meat cutting experience

Salary $$18.00 to $22.00 / hour based on experience
