Produce Team Member

Starting Rate: $16.00/hr

Position Description

A Produce Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and pricing all fresh vegetables and fruit. They maintain, fill and rotate products in the produce department for quality, freshness, and proper dates. Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards in each area of the department to provide customers with the highest quality produce.

Your Day-to-day

• Prepare produce for display on the sales floor.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Stock, price, rotate and place product on produce displays according to DeCicco & Sons standards.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the backroom, cooler, and sales area.
• Water and ice down various products.
• Wash, trim, and wrap products.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.
• Must be fluent in English.

Physical Demands

• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift
