Fitter/Tailor: NYC, Roslyn Heights, & Greenwich, CT

We are looking for a dynamic professional Fitter/Tailor, distinguished by their charisma, technical prowess, and professional integrity. This role will include fittings, sewing on the machine, building client relationships and supporting the tailor shop manager. This is a full time role in Roselyn Heights, and Greenwich, CT with salary, full benefits, and opportunities for future growth.

• Maintain a professional, warm, welcoming studio environment
• Conduct Fittings according to the Alteration Specialists Standard
• Build relationships with clients, influencers, brands and stylists
• Make every client feel welcome, and confident in the skills of you and your team

• Demonstrate that you are meeting personal production targets
• Cultivate proficiency with mens, womens, and bridal alterations as well as alterations of difficult fabrics

• Constantly be evaluating processes that are not efficient and come up with solutions to better optimize our organization
• Inform front desk of all re-alterations
• Keep track of and scan your production during the day and communicate with front desk to confirm accuracy

• 7-10 years of alteration tailoring experience required
• 2-3 years of general fitting experience required
• 1 year of fitting both men's and women's garments required
• Proficiency in English required

* This is a mid-career role.

As the Fitter/Tailor for an Alts team, you would play an integral role in creating a welcoming and professional environment that has a profound impact on some of the most important events and days in a client’s life. You would establish rewarding relationships with the studio’s clientele and partner community, and serve as an expert talent for any alteration jobs that walk into the studio.

Range is from $18/hour–$35/hour*

Standard/Basic Tailors are between $18-$24/hour

Intermediate from $25-$30/hour

Advanced $30-35/hour
