Marina Store Associate

JOB TITLE: MARINA STORE ASSOCIATE

DEPARTMENT: Marina Mini Mart/Boathouse

REPORTS TO: Supervisor/General Manager

SALARY RANGE: $16.50/hr

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal/Part-time, 29 hrs/week, Non-exempt

• Greet customers warmly, smile, and engage to provide assistance.
• Check merchandise, scan items, and process payments.
• Listen attentively to customer questions and needs, showing enthusiasm.
• Handle multiple customers simultaneously if needed.
• Report any unscannable items to management immediately.
• Promote specials and sale items to customers.
• Assist with pricing, stocking, facing merchandise, dusting, sweeping, and receiving shipments.
• Operate point of sale systems, including fuel console and credit card machines.
• Reconcile sales reports and transmit funds to the Administration Office.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Learn new information about the store or other departments daily.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Preferred:
  One year of cash handling and customer service experience.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and simple word problems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in construction, retail, or hardware store operations is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to stand for long periods, and perform bending, reaching, grasping, and climbing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Team lifting required for heavy or awkward items.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

This is a part-time position.
