Inventory Control Assistant

Brooklyn, New York / E-Commerce – Warehouse / Full Time / On-site

Catbird is looking for an Inventory Control Assistant to join our Inbound team. This role is a combination of quality and inventory control and requires a fine attention to detail, a passion for organization and a sense of urgency and accuracy. You must be in good standing with no written warnings to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and put away merchandise
  • Check quantity, accuracy, and quality including stock with expiration dates of incoming inventory focusing on consistent and top quality
  • Perform daily cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels and bi-annual physical inventory counts
  • Investigate stock discrepancies through reporting and cross-referencing sheets
  • Work with the rest of the team to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Communicate low-stock, reorder, purchase order and quality issues
  • Communicate in a clear, concise way to all departments
  • Assist in solving order management issues including working in conjunction with the Outbound team to fulfill orders according to service level agreement
  • RTV designer inventory
  • Process damaged stock due to quality and for any other unsellable related issues
  • Process warehouse transfers and stock movements
  • Ad hoc general warehouse support

  • Quality control experience in the jewelry, fashion, or related industries
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Maintains regular attendance and timeliness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Works with a sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Computer savvy
  • Able to work in collaborative team based environment
  • A love of jewelry and experience with either making jewelry or working for a jewelry company is a plus!

    • Compensation: $22/hour
